Coaching makes a difference when two factors are present:
1. The client is willing to change and grow
2. There is a gap between where the client is now and where he or she wants to be. The gap can be in many areas: Their personal life, love life, work life, boundary issues, fears, etc.
Your coach will help you set the goals you really want. As your first course of action you will find out what you really want and what goals you want to set.
A coach helps you determine what it means to balance your life.
Your coach will help you feel safe reaching for more.
You will make better decisions because your focus is more clear and defined.
You will have a lot more energy because you will be happier and more productive.
You will get help clearing up unresolved issues. You will find closure with issues that seem to keep re - surfacing.
You will learn to ask for what you want from yourself and others.
You will learn to spend less time with the inappropriate behaviors of others.
You will look at life in a more positive way.
You can strengthen your support system. When you have a strong support system such as your family, significant other, or friends, you can do anything!
A life coach becomes a collaborative partner with the clients. He guides them and asks questions to allow them to explore and find answers. He helps them to identify what is happening now and what they want for the future.
A coach is not a therapist. He doesn't deal with issues in the clients' past that are blocking them from moving forward and causing problems in their current lives.
